The Chicago Cubs has named De’Janae Phillips ‘19 a 2018 Cubs Scholar—marking the first time a HT student has been selected!
Launched in 2013, the program offers a team-sponsored mentorship program, academic support through Chicago Scholars, plus a four-year college scholarship of $20,000.
In addition to the Cubs Scholar award, De’Janae is actively involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters, HighSight, the Few Initiative Ambassador program and holds a number of leadership roles in Holy Trinity’s extracurricular clubs, including our student choir and Black Student Union.
