Summer Required Reading
All Holy Trinity students have required reading over the summer. Books must be finished by the first day of school. All incoming freshman are required to read The Five People You Meet in Heaven. In addition, students in English Honors must also read The Old Man and the Sea. In addition to reading the book, students are required to post comments in our online discussion forum. Please see the attached PDF for instructions.
We recommend you purchase uniform items over the summer to ensure proper fit and that your order is received before the first day of class. Review the 2018-2019 Uniform Guide and Student Handbook to learn more about our dress code.
Land’s End continues to be our preferred uniform provider. Uniforms can be ordered at landsend.com/school (Preferred School Number: 900157405), by calling (800) 469-2222, or in-store at Sears in the following locations: Niles, Oak Brook and Orland Park.
Limited items (fleeces and white collar shirts) are offered through our Spirit Store. Order online at holytrinity-hs.org/store (password: tigers18). Orders placed in July will be ready for pick up on the first day of school.
Summer Bridge Program
Not all freshmen are required/recommended to attend the Summer Program, but if you are, the program runs June 18 through July 20 every day of the week from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. There is a required $175 fee for the Summer Program. Please contact the Business Office directly to register and arrange payment as soon as possible at 773-278-4212 ext. 3045.
To get updates on Holy Trinity events, activities and important dates for the upcoming school year (including the first day of school, freshman retreat dates and vacation dates), visit our online calendar.
The Main Office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 12 through August 4. However, there will be staff from the Admissions and Development teams available every day until 4 p.m. Please pardon our dust during the summer months: We take advantage of the time to renovate and improve our school facilities.
Our Athletic Department is looking forward to another good year of continued growth and success. Students should check the athletics calendar for tryout dates and practice schedules. If you're interested in trying out, you must submit a recent physical exam from your doctor.
Boys' Soccer will condition every Tuesday and Thursday this summer. Please contact Coach Kang at email@example.com if you are interested in joining.
Girls' Basketball invites interested players to its Summer Program, offered June 25-29 and July 16-20, 4-6 p.m. in the HT gym. Participate in drills and scrimmages. Questions? Contact Coach Sheehan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
