Students visit Holocaust Museum & Education Center for Student Leadership Day

Six HT students attended Student Leadership Day at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie on November 9, 2011. The goal of the museum's Student Leadership Day is to increase awareness and knowledge of the Holocaust and genocide and to challenge students to think about lessons that can be learned from the past. November 9 is the anniversary of Kristallnacht, or Night of Broken Glass, a 36 hour German riot against the Jewish population which marks the beginning of the systematic killing of Jews known as  the Holocaust.
