HT Announces Virtual Bookstore for 2010-11

Have you heard? Holy Trinity is going to have a Virtual Bookstore next year!

Student Council members will be in the cafeteria starting on May 19 to return all used books that haven't been sold. If you have books returned, you will need to keep them until the day in June when they can be turned in for credit. More announcements will be forthcoming about the June date for book returns. For questions, please ask a Student Council member or the Business Office.

HT Girls Softball Finishes Season Strong

Congratulations to the HT Girls Softball team on their win over Our Lady of Tepeyac in the regional. Leading the way for the Tigers was Rickie Wright, who went 4 for 4 with 6 RBIs, and Yocelin Brito, who went 3 for 3 with 5 RBIs. Although the Tigers did not advance after losing to a tough Luther North team on May 18, they had a great season overall.Thank you for a good year, for trying new things, and having a good time. We can't wait until next year.

Many summer programs are offered each year by colleges, universities, and other organizations, and this year is no exception. A list of available programs is available in the counseling center. You have the opportunity to earn college credit, go to culinary camp, learn about careers in the medical profession, and more.

Girls Soccer Wins 2nd Game of Season

The HT Girls Soccer team won their second game of the season on May 11 against Josephinum Academy by a score of 6-0. Teamwork and hard play were the keys in this contest.

The  team won their first game on April 29, defeating St. Benedict's by a score of 9-2. Everyone on the team played their best, and the team effort was terrific. Daliah scored five goals. Diana Arroyo, Diana Munoz, Bricia Vazquez, and Nelly Villasenor each had one. Great job, girls!

If you would like to start on your scrapbook page for the senior scrapbook, please pick up your materials in Mr. Arreguin's room. The completed pages are due to Mr. A.  or Ms. Young by May 21 and 3 p.m.

HT Track & Field Shows Improvement at Wildcat Invitational

The HT Tigers Track & Field team competed in the Wildcat Invitational at Luther North High School on April 27, where the team demonstrated significant improvement.

The Lady Tigers 400-meter relay team of Kiyonna Perse, Elisha Swayze, Princess Burnett, and Penny Driver opened the scoring by finishing 1st in the event. In the shot put, Dominique Cherry finished 3rd and Jessica Babel finished 5th, with Jessica improving her personal record with her first throw of more than 21 feet.

HT National Honor Society and A.R.T.S. Lead Earth Day Celebration

In celebration of Earthy Day on April 22, the HT National Honor Society (NHS) and Arts Reaching Toward Society (A.R.T.S.) Club have teamed up to construct an eco-friendly Holy Trinity Tiger made entirely out of recyclable materials. When you have a moment, stop by the foyer and introduce yourself.
