An essential component of your student life will be your guidance counselor. Each student is assigned a counselor who will listen, encourage and provide support. Often, the guidance counselor is an important liason between Holy Trinity and parents or guardians. Additionally, our juniors and seniors have access to college and career counselors. While getting into college is the next step for every HT student, it is equally important that you choose the college or university right for you.
Each Holy Trinity student is assigned a counselor who promotes the academic, personal, career, and social development of that student. The Huw Llewellyn Student Services Center provides a serene atmosphere where students have access to computers to assist with college applications, scholarships, ACT test prep, financial aid, and career opportunities.

At Holy Trinity, students begin planning for the ACT during their freshman year. We use the comprehensive family of ACT materials so our scholars can track progress and improvement each year as they work toward their ACT test, which is used for college applications. Throughout their four years at Holy Trinity, students learn important test-taking skills and enter the college admissions process more prepared.
Holy Trinity conducts a yearly all-school testing in the Fall. The testing program at Holy Trinity consists of achievement and aptitude tests as well as a career inventory. The results of these tests are communicated to parents/guardians. In addition, students are provided guidance and preparation to register for the appropriate college entrance test.
- Freshman year - Explore Test
- Sophomore year - PLAN Test
- Junior year - PSAT (Saturday); ACT (Saturday)
- Senior year - ACT (Saturday); Advanced Placement; College Entrance Test
Holy Trinity is an ACT test center in October, December, April and June.
ACT and SAT registration forms and test preparation materials for both tests are available in the Guidance Office. The Guidance library has self-help materials on preparing for the tests.
Additionally, HT Counselors provide individualized guidance to students regarding academic issues (stress, organization, homework completion, etc.). Counselors communicate with teachers and parents in order to provide the best academic interventions possible.
Holy Trinity Counselors provide tailored, counseling to each student regarding their college plans. Visit the College Center for more information.
Each year, Holy Trinity High School holds a career fair for the junior and senior classes. We are seeking volunteers to present information and answer questions about their careers for our students.
Social Emotional Development
