Hosinki Scholarship Society
Established in 1997, the Hosinski Scholarship Society helps to set the tone for achievement and academic excellence at Holy Trinity by offering a $3,000 scholarship to newly enrolled students who score in the 85th percentile or higher on Holy Trinity’s entrance exam. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale are also eligible. This year will be the 13th year of the Society. Since 1997, Holy Trinity has awarded over 375 Hosinski Scholarships totaling more than $800,000 to our top achieving students. In 2009-10, we are awarding a total of 48 scholarships, including 18 new members to the Society!
How can I support a Hosinski Scholar?
Each Hosinski student is assigned a sponsor when he or she joins the Society. As a sponsor, you will receive report cards and other correspondence from your student(s) throughout the year, providing updates on academic progress and showing thanks for your commitment. You will also be invited to our annual Hosinski Scholarship Society Luncheon, held each spring at Holy Trinity.
The Society has an escalating clause. Every two years, Holy Trinity increases the scholarship gift to each scholar to account for the increase in tuition, inflation, and the per student expense of a Holy Trinity education. Beginning with the 2009-10 academic year, your commitment is set at $3,000 per year, per student, until he or she completes graduation.
Without the generous support of sponsors like you, many Holy Trinity students could not afford the quality, Catholic education they deserve. For more information on sponsoring a Hosinski Scholar, please call John Malloy at (773) 278-4212 x.3040, or send email to jmalloy@holytrinity-hs.org.
