This, the first UK Habitat Stamp, features the pintail, one of the most elegant of Europe's migratory waterfowl flying over the East Lighthouse at the outfall of the River Nene on the Wash.   Painted by famed artist Rodger McPhail, born in Westhoughton, Lancashire .
