Graduation Requirements

A graduating senior must pass the State and Federal Constitution tests during senior year, provide evidence of mastery of a senior research paper, and meet all department requirements to be eligible for graduation from Holy Trinity High School. In order for a senior to participate in Commencement Exercises, all financial, behavioral, and academic obligations must be completed. Academic credits must be completed by 3 p.m. on the school day following the last day of senior exams in May. Official transcripts and diplomas will be held by Holy Trinity until all financial obligations are met.

Department Requirements for Graduation:

Religion 4 credits
Based on 1 credit per year while in attendance at Holy Trinity High School.

English 4 credits
Core courses that incorporate the study of literature and and writing. Electives are not permitted toward English Department requirements.
Juniors must submit a research paper to pass American Lit.
Seniors must submit a research paper completed at a C- or higher level to pass 2nd semester of British Literature.

Social Studies 4 credits
World History
U.S. History
Government & Law
Students must pass the U.S. and State of Illinois Constitution tests.

Mathematics 4 credits
Modern Algebra I or Algebra IB
Geometry
one elective credit

Science 3 credits
Environmental Science
Biology
one science elective.

Visual & Performing Arts/Modern Language 2 credits
2 elective credits

Business 1.5 credits
Consumer Economics or Economics
Computers I
