Freshman English

Welcome to Freshman English with Ms. Sogaard! 

In room 109, we will use a variety of multicultural texts and challenging, thought-provoking writing assignments to explore the world and to explore ourselves. Freshman year is a time of transition; to aid that, we'll study literature focused on coming-of-age, self-reflection, and other young adult issues. "What about the classics?" you ask? Never fear, for we will read one of Shakespeare's most famous tragedies, we'll study time-honored poets, and Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men is standard fare in each section of the English 100 level.
