Entrance Exam

Holy Trinity's Entrance Exam for the Class of 2016 will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 8:00 am.  For more information, please contact our Admissions Office at (773) 278-4212 x3023.

The Entrance Exam is the first step for prospective freshmen to become a Holy Trinity Tiger. By taking the exam, prospective students become eligible to receive academic scholarships and apply for financial assistance.

Students need to bring:
• Two #2 pencils
• $25 testing fee (cash or check made payable to Holy Trinity)
• Copies of their 7th and 8th grade report cards and standardized test scores

HT gives an automatic 90% scholarship to those students who test at or above the 90th percentile on our exam! Students who test between the 85th to 89th percentiles will automatically receive a $3,000 scholarship! Those who score between the 70th to 84th percentiles will receive a $1,500 scholarship!

Exam FAQs

Do I have to take the entrance exam to come to Holy Trinity as a freshman?
YES! The entrance exam is the only way you can apply to Holy Trinity as an incoming freshman.

Can I take the entrance exam if I have an IEP?
YES! We offer modifications for students with IEPs. Be sure to bring your IEP on the day of the exam.

Do all Catholic high schools test on the same day?
YES! Because all Catholic high schools test on the same day, it’s important to choose the school that’s right for you. Be realistic about what school you’ll be accepted to and what your family can afford.

Don’t all the Catholic high schools use a shared test?
NO! You must take the test at your school of choice. All Catholic high schools test on the same day but DO NOT share the scores. It’s important to choose the school that’s right for you. Be realistic about what school you’ll be accepted to and what your family can afford.
