Centennial Capital Campaign

On March 12, 2010, at our Guardians of Hope Dinner celebration, Holy Trinity Board members Craig Dean and John Raitt announced the launch of Holy Trinity's Centennial Capital Campaign. The fundraising goal for the campaign is $7.5 million. While this is an ambitious goal, we are excited to have already secured nearly $4 million in pledges!

Introduction

In 1910, the Brothers of Holy Cross founded Holy Trinity High School in order to educate the underserved Polish community in Chicago. Although the demographics of our student body have changed, our commitment to educating low-income urban youth is as strong as ever. Catholic values remain at the heart of our mission—to give Chicago teenagers the opportunities and tools to succeed.

As we enter into our second century of service, we plan to build on our past successes of helping dedicated students. In order to take the first step toward this vision, Holy Trinity is proud to announce the Centennial Campaign, a fundraising effort focused on facilities upgrades, curriculum development, and financial aid. The Centennial Campaign will call on the entire Holy Trinity community and those within the Chicago area who believe in its mission to join together with enthusiasm and generosity to support students who need it most.

The Holy Trinity Difference

At Holy Trinity we provide individualized faculty attention in a safe, family environment. This environment results in students who want to be here, supported by a dedicated faculty and staff. Challenging academics have been a hallmark of Holy Trinity since its founding and continue to be as we teach our students to aspire to success. Our service and corporate internship opportunities give our students the opportunities to see what is possible for them. In addition—our unique funding model, supported by generous donors—helps us to keep the quality education we provide affordable for all.

Our Vision

Throughout this campaign, we will build upon our 100-year Holy Cross tradition of meeting students where they are and empowering them to reach their full potential. The enhancements provided by this campaign will allow us to attract and serve a broader range of students who can benefit from Holy Trinity’s unique approach to education.

Our Plan

To provide the best educational experience for students, Holy Trinity will undertake a comprehensive campaign in order to increase the availability of financial aid and scholarships, to upgrade the physical aspects of our campus, and to improve curriculum and programs. We anticipate the following costs:

Financial Assistance and Scholarships:$3.75 million
Academic Enhancements:$2 million
Capital Improvements:$1.75 million

Throughout this campaign, the Holy Trinity community of donors, friends, alumni, volunteers, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to strengthen Holy Trinity and its programs. There are numerous recognition opportunities available to campaign investors.  Investments in financial aid, academic development, and facilities upgrades will improve the educational experience for students today and tomorrow and will ensure that Holy Trinity enters its next century poised to help its students achieve their goals.
