Title: Associate Director of Development
Reports to: Vice President of Institutional Advancement
Anticipated start date: December 2011

Position Overview
The Associate Development Director will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donor prospects to drive increased philanthropic support for Holy Trinity High School each year The Associate Director of Development will work closely with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement to devise fundraising systems and strategies and plans. The Associate Development Director is responsible for developing and fulfilling the annual budget for the school’s annual campaigns, including the Annual Fund, Foundations/Grants, Alumni Activities, and Special Events.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
 
Annual Fund and Direct Mail Program
  • Work with Vice President of Institutional Advancement to develop Annual Fund goals, budget, and strategy
  • Produce annual appeal letters and donor acknowledgement letters
  • Provide regular analysis of donor base and help to create donor strategy
  • Along with Vice President of Institutional Advancement, meet with current and prospective donors and board members to discuss their giving strategy
  • Oversee stewardship of donors, including thank you calls and acknowledgement letters/note
Alumni Relations
  • Coordinator for Alumni Association activities, including Alumni Golf Outing, Alumni Christmas Dinner, Athletic Hall of Fame, and Alumni Baseball Outing
  • Attend Alumni Association Meetings
  •  Coordinate efforts of other Development Office staff in planning and executing Alumni Association events
Administration
  • Attend leadership and board meetings and retreats
  •  Prepare and present reports to the Stewardship Committee of the Board of Trustees
  • Direct the Development Assistant in the creation and mailing of invitations, donor correspondence and acknowledgement letters
  • Supervise and manage the Special Events Coordinator and the Development Assistant
Desired Skills and Requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail is a must
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in the field of Development and prior supervisory experience
  • A strong commitment to and understanding of the mission of Catholic education
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Experience reporting to and working with an active board is desirable.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Advanced computer literacy skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
