Campus Ministry

In fulfilling the Holy Cross ethic of service, an education at Holy Trinity has always focused on educating the whole person, the heart as well as the mind. Campus Ministry is a campus organization that coordinates masses and liturgical services, Christian service projects, and community outreach opportunities. Campus Ministry also has a prominent role in organizing annual class retreats with the respective teachers and counselors of each grade level. These retreats serve as an integral component of our school's Catholic identity, creating several opportunities to achieve class unity with team-building exercises and activities.
Beyond the classroom, our students regularly volunteer at homeless outreach centers, nursing homes, day care centers, and neighborhood events. Several times annually, Campus Ministry students coordinate blood drives for the American Red Cross. Holy Trinity students have also participated in service learning conferences at Holy Cross College in South Bend, Indiana, as well as the labor-intensive Appalachia Service Project, a unique summer service learning project that takes our students from their familiar Chicago neighborhoods to severely impoverished rural areas for a week of helping others in need.
