Girls’ Volleyball won the championship on October 26, a record first win at the regional level for Holy Trinity! In an exciting game, the Girls’ Volleyball team won the final match in the Chicago Prep Conference championship on Wednesday, October 18. Led by Coach Marce Tokarcyk, this has been a break-through year, as the team finished its regular season on October 11 with 21 wins and one loss, breaking the school’s long-standing record.

The Tigers advanced to the IHSA Regionals, winning both the semifinal match against Collins on October 24 and, in a very close match, winning the finals against Francis Parker on October 26. The victory marks the first IHSA Regional Championship win for Holy Trinity Girls’ Volleyball in its 107-year history.

The Tigers advanced to Sectionals on October 30 but did not advance after a close match against Walther Christian. They finished their season with 26 wins, two losses.

In recognition of the team’s hard work and record-setting season, the Chicago Prep Conference named Coach Marcelina Tokarcyk its Girls’ Volleyball Coach of the Year and Sakayah Garity ’18 the Girls’ Volleyball Player of the Year. We are proud of every team’s member dedication and excellence.
