Friends of Holy Trinity,

I am honored to have been selected as the new Chair of Holy Trinity High School’s Board of Trustees.

I was first introduced to Holy Trinity at the 2009 Guardians of Hope dinner. That night, I had the opportunity to meet several students who were friendly, bright, energetic and outgoing. I was impressed by the student keynote speaker, who spoke of her background, family and life ambitions, calmly speaking to hundreds of adults. My experience that night told me I wanted to be part of the Holy Trinity family.

I quickly became involved at Holy Trinity and joined the board in 2014, serving in various roles including Chair of the Finance Committee; a member of the Principal search committee; Strategic Plan Implementation Group and Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. I have also served as a Hosinski sponsor.

Prior to my involvement with Holy Trinity, I was a Partner and National Leader for the Real Estate Industry at KPMG, an international public accounting firm.

It is an exciting time here at Holy Trinity as we begin our next strategic plan, HT XXII Strategic Plan: FY18-22 , which will guide us through fiscal years 2018-2022. There are many ambitious goals set forth in this plan, and I’m confident we’ll be able to accomplish them through the hard work and dedication of all involved. The Board of Trustees’ role is to support and oversee the school and the strategic plan and to ensure that everyone involved has the resources they need to reach their goals. I am extremely grateful to our former Board Chair, Laura Clark, President Tim Bopp, the Holy Trinity faculty, staff, the members of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Council and all those who have generously supported our mission for laying a great foundation for this plan.

In addition to focusing on achieving our Strategic Plan goals, my focus will be on continuing to expand Board member support and involvement in our recruiting efforts of students and volunteers to Holy Trinity. Further, we want to expand our community outreach and work with our leadership team on marketing our wonderful school and mission. We want the Holy Trinity educational experience to become more well known throughout the Chicagoland area.

Finally, I would like to thank each member of the Holy Trinity family for helping to create such a strong, positive environment and for the opportunity to lead this vibrant group. Our mission today, just as it was in 1910, is to provide a life-changing education for all our students, and I truly value the opportunity to be a part of continuing that important mission.

I invite you to send me your thoughts and feedback on how we can continue to improve and further our mission.

God Bless,

Ray Milnes
Holy Trinity Board Chair
