Congratulations to Ms. Chiara Nease who received the Heart of School Award from the Archdiocese of Chicago!

On Thursday, May 11, Ms. Chiara Nease, Holy Trinity’s Resource Learning Center Director received the Archdiocese of Chicago’s 2017 Heart of Inclusion, Heart of the School Award. This award is given to teachers, staff members and administrators who foster inclusion in education by welcoming and serving all students, regardless of their socioeconomic background or the presence of defined learning needs.

The Heart of the School Awards encompass nine award areas, and two nominees were selected for each award area. In total, more than 545 nominations of teachers, administrators and staff members were received for Heart of the School Awards this year.

According to Principal Lynch, Ms. Nease gets to know each student who walks into the RLC as an individual and can pretty quickly identify the kind of help they need most. She is patient but firm, helping students figure out how to successfully complete their work and build on their strengths.

Ms. Nease and her  fellow 2017 Heart of the School Award winners were honored on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Congratulations to Ms. Nease and thank you for all you do for Holy Trinity!
