Each Teacher/Employee understands, accepts, and articulates the Mission Statement of Holy Trinity High School and provides for a program of supervision, instruction, and evaluation of students charged to his/her care.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaches a schedule of classes and performs other assigned duties as determined by the School such as:
    • conduct a homeroom program
    • supervise the cafeteria
    • supervise study groups
    • be available for student tutorial assistance and consultation
    • accept substitution duty when needed
    • supervise assigned student workers
  • Gets involved in leading and organizing after school activities/clubs.
  • Maintains accurate attendance records for all teaching and supervisory periods.
  • Supervises hallways and common areas during all passing periods and at dismissal.
  • Communicates on a regular basis with parents/guardians and sponsors regarding their students’ progress.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in educational research and teaching field through conferences, journals, workshops, etc.
  • Attends and participates in all faculty meetings.
  • Fully participates in the school improvement process.
  • Provides supervision at extracurricular events as needed. All Faculty and Staff must supervise at least three athletic events per year and one social event per semester.
  • Provides for academic tutoring for students at risk of failure.
  • Provides for a safe and controlled environment conducive to the learning process.
  • Upholds all policies as outlined in the Student Agenda and Employee Handbook.
  • Substitutes for peers as needed.
  • Attends and participates at one of the student retreats during the academic year.
  • Plans and implements lessons congruent to curriculum guidelines.
  • Attends Fall Parent Meetings, Back-to-School Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Open Houses, one Ninth Grade Entrance Test day and one of the Ninth Grade Registration days, the Senior Robing, Honors Programs, and Graduation, and other mandatory events.
  • Agrees to support the Guardians of Hope major fundraising event by either attending the event and/or by helping with the preparation for or clean up from the event.
  • Maintains or works toward completing certification as required.
  • Fulfills other tasks as assigned by the Administration.

The Director of Accounting & Administration works directly with the school’s President, Finance Committee and Board of Trustees in helping to set and guide the school’s financial future. This position manages the school’s finances and the finances of the Heart & Mind Foundation (a supporting organization created to receive and manage gifts on behalf of Holy Trinity High School). 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all financial matters that affect Holy Trinity High School and the Heart & Mind Foundation
  • Maintains an accurate system of accounting following established GAAP guidelines
  • Oversees the annual audit for the school and the foundation
  • Creates and manages the Annual Operating Budget and develops updated forecasts during the fiscal year
  • Prepares and presents monthly Financial Reports to the school’s Finance Committee and develops updated forecasts during the fiscal year
  • Prepares and presents financial reports of the Heart & Mind Foundation to its Board of Directors on a bi-monthly basis
  • Maintain General Ledger and all associated accounts
  • Monitors and balances cash position and cash flow
  • Prepares all of the materials for the Annual Audit
  • Liaison to banking and financial institutions
  • Responsible for overseeing corporate purchase card program.
  • Implements internal control procedures and all purchasing policies and procedures
  • Responsible for all payroll and benefit-related activities
  • Oversees payroll processing and provides for the payroll to be distributed to all employees
  • Supervises cafeteria services and spirit store.
  • Oversees collections of tuition and all Accounts Receivables, processes disbursements, and record keeping of all funds for the institution and the foundation
  • Administers all company benefits and orients all employees in regard to benefits
  • Work with school Principal to track PTO time for faculty.  Responsible for track non-teaching staff PTO time.
  • Maintains all insurance records, procedures, policies, and claims
  • Oversees the renewal of all insurance policies
  • Supervises the Business Office Manager and Senior Accountant
  • Other duties as assigned by the President or Finance Committee

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • At least 5 years of previous nonprofit accounting experience preferably in Education.
  • Strong accounting skills and experience, including preparing monthly financial statements, annual budget and financial forecast
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with a large number of constituents (administrators, faculty, staff, parents, students, alumni, etc)
  • Demonstrates a hands-on, detail-oriented and can-do attitude that supports the mission of the school
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Blackbaud Financial Edge, G-Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and payroll software

The business office manager is responsible for the management of student tuition, accounts payable and purchasing for the school. Work with Director, Accounting and Administration on the operations of Business Office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for student account management including maintaining the software; working with families and students on their accounts.
  • Work with FA manager and Admission Director on current student registration.
  • Handles business transactions at the office register: payments, voucher requests, and lunch program applications.
  • Writes receipts for all cash and checks received in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Assists in the processing of closing the petty cash drawer weekly and or as needed. 
  • Makes copies of checks and files pink copy of cash receipts in the numerical file.
  • Verify the deposits against the bank deposit slip for accuracy.
  • Opens and stamps all business office mail as received and distributes that to the proper person within the office.
  • Codes and creates a voucher for all bills received and or for any reimbursement request received allocated to the right department or fund.
  • Enters all bills and reimbursement requests into bill.com and financial edge on an accrual basis.
  • Print paper checks when needed and make sure the check is signed.
  • Maintain vendor file folders.
  • Files payment receipts, lunch program applications, and any other information pertaining to the students, transactions and payments.
  • Orders, distributes and maintains an inventory of all office supplies.
  • Researches office supplies vendors for best price or product.
  • Orders/stocks all educational materials as needed for teachers as approved by the Principal’s office
  • Orders/stocks miscellaneous inventory as needed for student purchase i.e. locks, notebooks, etc.
  • Assist with scheduling the maintenance of all copy machines through the building and replenishing supplies such as toner and staples. 
  • Ensures paper is distributed to all offices with copiers.
  • Contacts Copier’s vendor for repairs and orders supplies from them.
  • Cafeteria schedule liaison
  • Cleaning company liaison 


Qualifications:
