Title: Foundation & Community Relations
Reports to: Vice President of Institutional Advancement
About Holy Trinity High School:
Established in 1910 by The Brothers of Holy Cross, Holy Trinity High
School was originally a boys’ school serving the neighborhood sons of
Polish immigrants. Today, Holy Trinity is co-educational and proud to
serve an increasingly diverse population of Hispanic, African
American, Caucasian, and Asian students. Holy Trinity is centrally
located in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood and attracts students
throughout the Chicagoland area. Our mission is to educate the heart

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement grant solicitation strategy
• Research new and existing funding opportunities and present
proposals for approval
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward foundations, corporations, and other
funding sources
• Write, edit, proofread proposals and submit applications on timely
basis
• Work with staff, faculty, board, volunteers to help secure financial
support
• Manage tracking system of grantors and proposals and submit reports
on timely basis
• Provide appropriate evaluation reports for grantors as requested
• Develop and implement a community relations strategy including press
releases, outreach, events, advertising, and other marketing
opportunities
• Ensure proper implementation of key messages with all communications
pieces
• Manage media contacts and pitch stories to appropriate media, track
placements
• Assist with other fundraising efforts as needed
Skills and Requirements:
• Must demonstrate commitment to the mission of Holy Trinity HS
• Excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication
skills
• Strong analysis skills and ability to manage for results
• Ability to work independently as well as to coordinate and cultivate
with many constituents
• Must pass background check and participate in mandatory reporter
training
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Previous non-profit experience and 2-4 years experience in grant
writing, communications, community relations, corporate solicitations,
fundraising, or research preferred.
• Understanding of local and national foundations and grant resources
• General understanding of local community resources
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Raiser’s Edge or other
fundraising database programs preferred
