Students visit Holocaust Museum & Education Center for Student Leadership Day

Six HT students attended Student Leadership Day at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie on November 9, 2011. The goal of the museum's Student Leadership Day is to increase awareness and knowledge of the Holocaust and genocide and to challenge students to think about lessons that can be learned from the past. November 9 is the anniversary of Kristallnacht, or Night of Broken Glass, a 36 hour German riot against the Jewish population which marks the beginning of the systematic killing of Jews known as  the Holocaust.

Congratulations to our Students of the Month!

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for November!

Each month, the National Honors Society members ask HT faculty to nominate students who have performed well academically and shown strength in character. Once they receive the nominations, NHS members put it to a vote to see which student from each class should receive the honors. Here are the students chosen for this month:

Janel Guzman (Freshman)

Faraji Petty (Sophomore)

Frank Passi (Junior)

Daniel Guzman (Senior)
